Where do the numbers come from?
Numbers combine a verified US area code with the fictional, non-working 555-0100–555-0199 range reserved by NANPA. Not all 555 numbers are fictional. This tool covers six area codes: 202 (DC), 212 (NY), 213 (CA), 312 (IL), 415 (CA) and 617 (MA), not the whole country.
What does the state or region mean?
The label is the numbering area associated with the area code, not a subscriber’s address or current location. DC is the District of Columbia, not a state. These are fictional records; the tool does not identify owners, carriers, mobile/landline type or live usage.
Try a simple form test
Generate a batch and confirm it contains 20 unique numbers in international format. Copy a number into your test form and check spaces, the +1 prefix and saved values. Click Generate again to replace the list with a newly randomized batch. Different batches may overlap.
Copy and export
Single-row copy copies only the number. Copy all and TXT include international-format numbers and localized region names. CSV uses national format beginning with parentheses to avoid spreadsheet formula interpretation; JSON includes all three formats and region names. No configuration is required.
Can I receive SMS or verification codes?
No. The numbers are fictional test data, not phone service. Some validators deliberately reject fictional ranges. Use your service provider’s sandbox for messaging tests, not real subscribers’ numbers.
Are the results stored?
Generation, copying and downloads run in your browser. The tool does not upload or persist numbers; refreshing clears the list. Download any data you want to keep. See the privacy policy for site-wide analytics choices.
